Born and raised in upstate New York, Dr. DelFavero’s journey led him to Houston, Texas, where he pursued his undergraduate studies at Rice University. As a key member of the Men’s NCAA Swim Team and a medal-winning member of the Austrian National Swim Team, he developed a deep understanding of athletes’ needs and challenges. This passion for athletics and holistic healthcare inspired his career as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
In Texas, he met his wife Rachel, a medical student at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Together, they embarked on their respective healthcare journeys. Dr. DelFavero’s first practice in Texas specialized in work-related injuries, trauma, pre-surgical intervention, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
In 2005, he joined 1st Choice Healthcare, where he could fully utilize his understanding of athletes to provide swift and effective treatment for sports injuries. In 2014, he took ownership of the practice, rebranding it as 1st Choice Sports Rehab Center to better reflect its mission.
Recently, Dr. DelFavero has taken a new step in his career, establishing Atlanta Sports Chiropractic in Johns Creek. Here, he continues to apply the latest conservative treatment methods for his patients, who range from members of the National Rugby Team to professional golfers, competitive swimmers, cyclists, marathon runners, and triathletes.
Beyond his office, Dr. DelFavero is deeply involved in the local athletic community, providing sports injury clinics and lectures.
